Royal visit for Wootton Wawen development

Warwickshire Rural Housing Association (WRHA) will be welcoming HRH The Princess Royal for the official opening of its ground-breaking new development in Wootton Wawen.

Working in partnership with Bouygues UK and Waterloo Housing, we have completed Keyte Gardens, Warwickshire’s first Passivhaus development of affordable homes.

HRH The Princess Royal will be visiting on the morning of Tuesday 25th September to meet the partners involved in this community-led development and members of the local community, as well as some of the new residents who have recently moved in to their ultra-low energy homes.

A total of 14 affordable homes have been built in Wootton Wawen to the rigorous Passivhaus standard to enable residents to reduce their carbon footprint as well as keeping their energy bills low.

The innovative development has just been shortlisted in the Best Green Scheme category of the 24housing Awards 2018 which celebrate excellence across the housing sector.
