New homes coming to Broom and Claverdon

Rural Housing Week is all about the need for more affordable homes. And, despite the many challenges, we are still building new affordable homes with more on the way.

At Warwickshire Rural Housing we're continually working with District and Parish Councils, landowners, and other housing providers to build as many homes as we can. And we're due to start construction on new homes in two Warwickshire villages in 2025.

The schemes will be a second phase of homes in each village, showing that the need for affordable homes never stops! The homes, due to be ready in late 2025, will all be for local people.

Living close to work

Sisters Holly and Ellee are shared owners living in homes built in the first scheme at Broom, which completed in 2020. As well as living next door to each other, they also work together at their family-run day nursery. They are both appreciative that they've been able to stay in the village where they grew up:

“Without this affordable housing option, we wouldn’t haven’t been able to afford to stay in the village.

“It’s enabled Holly to bring her son up in the village, close to family and support networks, which is so important.

“And it also means we’re able to stay close to work. We both work in our family-run nursery, alongside our mum, and are able to help it go from strength to strength, which is great for us, and also for the local community.”
